News in digital SRL cameras never end: just a day after the launch of the Canon EOS 50D, Nikon announced its new D90, a valid substitute of the previous D80. The new D90 features a new 12.3 megapixel DX CMOS sensor, an extended ISO sensivity, the new EXPEED processor that allows to obtain greater speed and increase the quality of Live View mode and Face Detection System. Furthermore, it is able to take HD movies and it has most of the features that appears on the "old" D300 (relaced recently by the new D700).
Together with this D90, Nikon launched also a new lens, the DX AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR, which will be sold with the D90 kit package.
The price of this new DSRL is of about 999$ body only and 1299$ for the body + 18-105mm.
Personally, I don't know very well Nikon's DSRL, but at first sight this D90 seems to be a very good camera, with so many features that doesn't appear on the Canon EOS 50D (like the movies mode, for example) at the same price.
The benefit of this two new DSRL is that of a lower price for the earlier models, like the Canon 40D and Nikon D80.
